McLaren Districts Cricket Club inducted 2 new LIFE MEMBERS this past weekend at our Annual Senior Presentations. Congratulations to Andrew Fechner and Ben Duncombe on this well deserved honour.
These two previous Presidents of McLaren Districts Cricket Club (2018-2022 & 2013-2018) have formed a vital part of the club as players, administrators, volunteers and genuine clubmen.
ANDREW FECHNER
Fechs joined the club in 2010, has played a total of
• 160 matches
• 70 A grade matches
• 95 A grade wickets
• In his first 3 seasons at the club he took 20+ wickets each season in the A grade
• 2 A grade 5fors
• Played in 2 A grade grand finals in 2012/13 & 2013/14 seasons
• B grade premiership 2018/19
• Overall has taken 5fors for the club in senior cricket
• Career runs 586 with a highest score of 31
He has also sat in administrative roles at the club for many years;
• 2013/14 Secretary
• 2014 to 2018 Treasurer
• 2018 to 2022 President
BEN DUNCOMBE
Our second inductee joined the club in 2008, has played a total of;
• 136 senior matches
• 88 A grade matches
• 92 A Grade wickets
• In his first season at the club in 2008/09 he played a significant role in the A grade premiership
• Played in a further 2 A grade grand finals in 2012/13 & 2013/14 seasons
• B Grade premiership 2018/19
He also was the President for the period 2013-2018.
